Gary
Daugherty is a senior vice president with
Parker Executive Search. During his 10+ years
as an executive search consultant, Gary has conducted
more than 300 search assignments, many in the
private sector. He works with corporations to
successfully complete assignments at the executive
level (CEO, COO, CFO, and president) and for senior-level
positions in major functional

|
disciplines, including supply chain, engineering, finance,
marketing, sales, and human resources. His practice also encompasses
higher-education institutions, with substantial work in the
University of Tennessee system, collegiate athletic searches,
and global searches for multinational companies.
Having
successfully served at the senior level in corporations for
many years, both as a human resources executive and a general
manager, Gary has a strategic advantage when relating to clients'
needs. With his in-depth knowledge of the different functional
roles in organizations, he is able to gain a thorough understanding
of the specific requirements of the position, the organization's
culture, and the type of candidate who would fit well. He
finds it rewarding to play a role in bringing new leadership
into corporations or higher-education institutions, knowing
the impact it has on everyone who is involved in or affected
by that organization.
He
joined the team in May 1996 after serving as vice president
of human resources for the greeting card division of Gibson
Greetings Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. Previously, Gary spent
18 years in senior-level human resources and general management
positions with Aladdin Industries in Nashville, Tennessee.
He also served as a commissioned officer in the United States
Army.
Gary
received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Tennessee at Knoxville. Through the years, he has been
involved in such professional and civic organizations as Leadership
Nashville, Junior Achievement, Students in Free Enterprise,
and Inroads.
With
his wife, Karen, Gary lives in Roswell, Georgia. They have
two grown children. He enjoys spending time with his grandson
and in the mountains.
