THE COLLEGE: Butler University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Business. The AACSB accredited College has grown steadily in recent years at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College currently enrolls over 800 undergraduate students and confers B.S. degrees in eight majors with each student completing a four-year professional development program that emphasizes experiential learning and includes two required internships. The undergraduate business program was ranked 47th overall and 2nd for internships out of 124 undergraduate programs in the 2013 Bloomberg BusinessWeek rankings. The College also enrolls over 200 graduate students in an evening MBA program and a Master of Professional Accounting program. An online MBA program is in development. The part-time MBA program claimed the 7th spot in the Midwest and 37th in the nation in the Bloomberg BusinessWeek rankings. Six certificate programs are offered through the Executive Education office in the College. The Dean will be responsible for leading and working with the 45 full-time faculty, 20 adjunct faculty, 15 Executives-in-Residence, and 20 staff in the College.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a graduate or professional degree and a distinguished record of accomplishment in higher education, business practice, or public service. The preferred candidate will have an earned doctorate, significant administrative experiences in an academic business environment, and academic credentials and experience necessary for appointment at the rank of tenured professor; however, individuals with exceptional leadership experience outside of academia will also be given consideration.
