The Rams Club Announces Seth Reeves as New Executive Director

The Rams Club at the University of North Carolina announced today that Seth Reeves will serve as the organization’s next executive director. Reeves has been with The Rams Club for nine years, most recently as its Chief Revenue & Operations Officer.
The Rams Club conducted a national search to identify Reeves as the organization’s next leader. He succeeds John Montgomery, who is retiring at the end of the calendar year after more than 24 years as executive director of The Rams Club and more than 40 years in college athletics. Reeves will be just the fourth executive director in the organization’s 87-year history. He will begin his new role on September 1.
“Seth Reeves has been a respected and thoughtful leader for The Rams Club since joining the team nearly a decade ago,” said Jim Sigman, chair of The Rams Club’s Executive Board of Directors. “He will continue to challenge his team and the supporters of Carolina Athletics to adapt to the rapidly changing environment of college athletics. We have built incredible momentum in recent years, and we look forward to Seth’s leadership as we continue that upward trajectory.”
“I am deeply grateful to the search committee, to our Executive Board of Directors, and to Bubba Cunningham for the trust they have placed in me with this opportunity,” said Reeves. “I am equally thankful to more than 22,000 Rams Club members whose generosity and passion fuel Carolina Athletics and create life-changing opportunities for our student-athletes. The Rams Club is a distinguished organization with a proud history, and I look forward to working alongside our incredible staff and wonderful supporters to build on that foundation as we continue to strengthen Carolina’s position as a leader in college athletics.”
Reeves graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2005 with his master’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science (Sport Administration). He served in a number of roles with Tar Heel Sports Properties at UNC before joining The Rams Club in 2016. Prior to his time in Chapel Hill, Seth was a consultant for Accenture and also graduated from the University of Virginia, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Commerce. Reeves’ most recent responsibilities included the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts for scholarships, capital campaigns, and sport endowments.
“Seth has been vital to building meaningful connections with Carolina’s coaches and supporters in order to support student-athlete opportunities,” said Bubba Cunningham, director of athletics at Carolina. “He will do an outstanding job as The Ram’s Club’s new executive director.”
The Rams Club is the primary fundraising organization in support of Carolina student-athletes and coaches. The private foundation, made up of more than 22,000 donors who believe in providing an elite student-athlete experience to 750 Tar Heel student-athletes, provides valuable scholarship assistance, facilities, and programming that allow Tar Heel student-athletes in 28 varsity sports to train, develop, and compete at the highest level at a leading public university. The Rams Club worked closely with Parker Executive Search in the national search process.
