Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the President’s senior leadership team, the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Director of Athletics provides strategic vision, executive leadership, and operational oversight for the University’s NCAA Division I athletics program. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to the President and maintain consistent, transparent communication regarding the needs, opportunities, and challenges facing the athletics enterprise.
The Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Director of Athletics leads a complex and dynamic enterprise responsible for the administration and advancement of all intercollegiate athletics programs, including student-athlete welfare and success, coaching and staff leadership, competitive excellence, revenue generation, compliance, facilities, and community engagement.
Asa key member of the University’s senior leadership team, the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Director of Athletics will play an important role in advancing the University’s mission, values, and strategic priorities while positioning Toledo Athletics for sustained competitive success, continuous improvement, and national visibility. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across campus and externally to strengthen the impact of athletics in support of the University’s commitment to academic excellence and student success, while ensuring that strategic priorities are executed and brought to completion.
