Jacob Anderson
Jacob has been with Parker Executive Search since 2012 and serves as a Senior Principal within the Higher Education Practice, with broad-based knowledge of higher education and specialized expertise in academic health sciences.
Throughout his career, Jacob has completed over 275 searches for higher education and academic health sciences clients nationally and abroad. He is known for closing some of the most difficult searches in academic health sciences, where candidate pools are limited.
Jacob leads and partners on searches for senior academic and administrative leaders, setting a strategy for the recruitment of qualified individuals, researching and sourcing potential candidates, interviewing and presenting candidates for review, managing the committee and finalist interview processes, and ensuring clients reach closure with the preferred candidate. He also collaborates with the firm’s leadership on new client engagement and business development.
He has been featured as a guest on the Leading Improvements in Higher Education podcast and has spoken at conferences on career progression in higher education. To Jacob, the most gratifying aspect of working in search is finding the right person for each position. He enjoys getting to know clients and candidates and following the successes of each after they transition into a new role.
Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Jacob graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and was a four-year recipient of the University of Georgia Charter Scholarship. He lives in Chamblee, Georgia, and is fond of traveling and college football Saturdays.
