Julia is an Executive Recruiting Coordinator working in the Higher Education Practice for Parker Search.
As Executive Recruiting Coordinator, Julia’s main responsibilities are to conduct thorough research on clients and target institutions, organize and execute search timelines, and assist colleagues in the recruitment of qualified candidates based on the needs of the client and institution.
Before joining Parker Search, Julia spent over a decade in higher education administration, most recently as Director of the Office of Academic Advising Services at the University of Georgia, where she was selected as a member of the UGA Women’s Staff Leadership Institute 2021 cohort. Prior to that, she coordinated student services for UGA’s Mary Frances Early College of Education and the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
Julia holds an A.B. in Cognitive Science from the University of Georgia, an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Georgia’s Institute of Higher Education. Outside of work, she regularly serves as a mentor through the UGA Mentor Program, watches a lot of Jeopardy, and buys at least two new books for every book she actually reads. Julia lives in Athens, Georgia with her husband Nick and their two cats.
